Langley FC U9 Girls raise $780 for Charity: Right to Play
Under sunny skies on Saturday afternoon at Willoughby Community Park the Langley FC U9 girls played in their annual soccer jamboree. 120 Langley girls on 12 teams competed against each other to end an exciting season of soccer. The group organized a concession for the festivities and raised $780 for the charity Right to Play (http://www.righttoplay.com/) . Right to Play is an organization working with volunteers and partners to use sport and play to enhance child development in areas of disadvantage. Many of our Olympian Heroes such as Clara Hughes and Jon Montgomery are amazing ambassadors for Right to Play. The Langley FC U9 girls felt so fortunate to play in an organized soccer league on beautiful grassy fields with lots of community support and wanted to help other kids in less advantaged areas of the world.
